Baby blankets are one of the creations I have made most of my life. My mother, Ngatha, made these for me when I was a baby. I learned the art from her and have been making these for my clients in Kenya and New York, ever since. I pick colors that are vibrant to show my Kikuyu roots, my African heritage, and to bring out the beauty in any child who is warmed by them.
